Emergency Electrical Issue 02 225 Coupe
I parked my car for 4 months this winter (gone on overseas assignment)
Came back to dead battery. Charged it.
I had all auxiliaries but starter wouldnt even crank a little bit. I saw lights and gauges dip when I tried, so I figured it was a short to ground.
I bought a new battery-top fuse box and battery (always wanted to change out that fuse box).
When I went for a start, NO POWER TO ANYTHING AT ALL. NOTHING.
I'm wondering if there is a "Master Fuse" or something under the hood that I'm missing.
What I've done since is simply pull the battery and the whole battery box to look for obvious grounds.
The starter is original w/ 135K miles on it. The lead to starter from positive terminal looks like ****, as does the post on starter. I bought a new starter, but haven't yet installed it. Can anyone give me any help re: why no power after new battery and fuse box?
Could I have cooked the brain or something?
Christ, I'm stressed.
Thanks a million,
Rich
