Audi windshield washer solvent
Idea was they are smaller than a gallon jug and take up less room in the trunk.
Now that we've mixed the first bottle the math has become apparent.
Even at 2 water to 1 solvent, which is the thinnest ratio, you only end up with 0.375 of a gallon.
Following that train of thought it would take 3 bottles to make a gallon at a cost of ~$14

Have a sneaking suspicion they charged me considerably more than $4.50 too.
I'm sure it's good stuff, but not that good.
My bad for not reading the mixing instructions more closely before purchase!
Anyone else tried it and able to compare/contrast to the $3/gallon stuff you can get at the convenience store?
There are boosters available from WURTH, P21S, MBz and a few others that can be added to the $.99 stuff to give it a bit more cleaning punch.
cheaper cleaners usually leave a residues the will clog your washer jets and damage the pumps.
have you seen an empty washer container on a car that uses those products?
also cleaners that use ammonia actually damages your windshield and wipers (never to be use on tint glass).
one last thing the factory cleaner has a much lower freezing point preventing the hoses, jets and pumps from cracking due to freezing, you know how much does it cost to replace a headlight washer jet?.

Have always very concerned about freezing even now that I live in the South.
