Instructions for rear deck removal / blind installation
Hi all. Search on this forum is awful, so forgive me if this has been posted.
I lucked out and found a wrecked 2004 A8 with beige interior and snagged the rear blind for a great price. A clip holding the blind to the power arm broke on mine, so it no longer worked. (BTW, if you need A8 parts: http://myworld.ebay.com/europarts99/).
Has anyone swapped the rear blind? If so, would you mind getting me pointed in the right direction on how to do it?

I got it all out. I also took apart all of the doors so the tint guy could get the tint below the second gasket. All in all about 1.5hrs to remove the deck lid area and another 1.5hrs for all four doors. FUN!!!. I have pics of all off it and I will try to put a pic tutorial together when I get some time.

I haven't removed it yet. I"m actually in a holding patter waiting on Audi.
Long story short - before taking delivery of my A8 the sunshade broke. My dealer offered to fix, but bailed on the deal once they determined that it wasn't fixable.
Back and forth with them.
I put in a call to Audi customer care and have an advocate working for me from Audi. I don't know if anything will come of it, but I'm not touching the shade until then (in the event Audi replaces it).

I have the issue with the rearshade - clips from the arms are broke. Is there a way to fix this or do you just settle for a non-working rear shade? I know the Audi dealership quoted me somewhere around $1,600.
