Door lock mechanism shot
My driver's side door lock mechanism is broken, it no longer engages the actuator nor does it unlock the door, I took the door panel off and saw that the part surrounding the key chamber that supposed to twist and unlock the door is broken key freely spins without catching anything. It's a 93 Audi 90cs, has central locking system anyone has a parts car or knows where to get something like that?

Well I need the part thats behind the door handle I don't really know if it comes with the door handle as a unit I guess I better have another look, this car is my daily driver... The mechanism that engages the actuator broke at the point where it surrounds the door lock itself, from what I remember it looks like a ring and it turns with the key except now its cracked and door lock spins freely.

Just came back from a junkyard they had a 93 90S there; tore the door apart only to find out that it had the same issue, the gear broke just like mine did; I've included a photo of the part, it's located behind the door handle,to get to it assembly that holds window and its motor have to come off, only 4 13mm bolts, and of course the door panel.
