I am looking to replace my DRLs and city lights with LED lights that are Canbus error-free from ijdmtoy.com. Do they work on a 2008 A8? If not will a separate resistor work? I have alot of conflicting information.

They did not work on my DRL I still get the burnt bulb warning.

Canbus error free LED's should work, but it depends on the manufacturer I guess. Since I already have LED as DRL, I have no experience with this, but I've upgraded my fog lights and all interior lights to LED as well. Fog lights are normal (not canbus error free) with separate resistor. Interior lights for me didn't throw a warning, but it still shows up in VCDS. Trunk lights only worked with canbus error free lights, otherwise lights would flash few times and turn off.
Anyway, if you buy correct canbus LED's, they should work fine. If that for some reason doesn't work, a resistor will definitely work but when adding resistors you have to remember to put them somewhere safe away from anything plastic as they tend to get very hot.
