Default How to change fog light bulbs (2008)?

So I have some Osram H7's here which I bought after careful research to replace the fog lights. I am doing in 90% for cosmetic reasons so that when locking the car at night the "valet" lighting isn't the crappy yellow-while light.

All that said, I cannot find anywhere what posts or forum(s) I was reading that lead me to this bulb, nor can I figure out with certainty how to change the bulb. I took off the lower grille this morning and see the fog housing, but not sure if I need to unscrew and pull outward or what.

Can anybody tell me how to replace fog light bulbs? Thanks in advance.

Unscrew and pull out, open housing and change bulbs. Quite straight forward.

If memory serves me correct, there are 4 Screws and the Screw that is Inside (closest to center) is the Adjustment Screw which does not need to be touched. The other 3 Screws are on the outside (closest to outerside) and only one of them needs to be removed. The other 2 Screws just needs to be loosened enough to wiggle Light out of Bracket. Use a Flash Light and you'll see them. I think that the Srews with the Blue Locking Tabs will stop the Srews from being removed totally if I remember. However, as stated it is a Straight Forward procedure. Good luck and laters,

P.S. '04-'05 and maybe '06 A8s use H11 Bulbs and not H7! I ordered the Osram Super Brights and had to send them back, but you should be ok with an '08.

I just changed mine out and they were H11's not H7's (even though the Sylvania part number had the H7 listed.

I looked last week at the Osram fitment guide and it said my 08 S8 had H7s for fogs, so I ordered H7s from Hoen (I was very happy with their driving lights on my 06 A8L). When I pulled the bulbs out to swap though, I realized they are actually H11s, which I ordered this morning.

Grilles just pull off by hand though. The passenger side bulb can be pulled by just reaching through where the grille was. On the driver side (S8) there's too much in the way to do that but I was able to get my hand in between two attachment points where the lower part of the front spoiler meets the plastic plate at the underside of the car and get the bulb in/out that way. No tools are necessary if you can get your hands in there - you are just accessing the bulb from the back and are not messing with the light housing at all.

Actually you are right. They have H7 and H11 on A8 and S8 of all years. Like they can't make a decision. Shame on them.

H7 has more of light output for the same power.
