Thanks forum members for the help with psuedo-75k service.
It took me two tries to get the spark plugs done because I couldn't get the coil packs to budge last weekend. I bought an off-brand puller that matches the Audi one and it worked great today. It was fairly hard to pull them out even with that; I would've never gotten them out by hand. I highly recommend the tool, T40039.

I took my time with everything and cleaned as I went along, but the feeling sure is rewarding. I've done oil changes before, but never spark plugs. How fun, and I probably saved $500+ in parts and labor.
Assuming nothing breaks soon (knock on wood), I plan on tackling the timing belt at 90kmi. I'm at 78kmi now.

The ones I got were 6K bulbs, just slightly above the OEM output. I do notice that they appear a little whiter than the OEM, though comparing to OEM with 78kmi on them is hardly apples-to-apples. My OCD side definitely notices that they are the same now.

Here's a current auction for them. The vendor is Autoarmour-auctions, just a knock-off, but 10000+ hr life so I was willing to try a pair for so inexpensive.

Sure you get a lot of leverage with a screwdriver or a trim tool, but the force at the fulcrum (aluminum head) and at the 'short' end of the tool (plastic coil pack connector) is concentrated on a very small area.
