Hi and welcome!

You are at 1190 on MMI.

Best nav DVD is from Navteq.com but you can get them a little cheaper other places.
I recommend genuine copy not a 'burned' one you sometimes see on eBay.
There is a 2011 version on their website that many of us have purchased.

The MMI does not get updated by the nav DVD but you can get genuine copies from Audi dealers very inexpensively.

Lots of threads here on MMI upgrades.

Thanx for the help Jake. Can I use a 2011 nav DVD with an old mmi version or do I have to update the mmi version first?

I have version 27 and the 2011 Nav worked fine so I think yours should be OK.

It updated something initially then came right up.
My A8 is an 05 and came with a 2003 disk - also known as somebody swiped it along the way !

I used version 2011 with a MMI older than yours and it worked perfectly fine. PM me if your looking for a nav disc.

Posted this on this thread you created on Audiforums.us:

You seem to have FW 1190 (the upper row before the numbers 0513).

You can download and burna navi DVD yourself from piratebay, there i got my Euro 2011 update DVD from.

You just DL it with a torrent program, and burn the image file with Nero or another program, put it in the DVD player in the trunk, and on with the MMI and it updates itself for a while.

Also the MMI updates you are able to download, i DL an upgrade to 5150 and 5570, but have only installed 5150 yet. Same system with that update, except you have to install it through that menu your pic is from via the SW update option, and have the update CD in the changer slot 1.

I think it's worth the upgrade just to get rid of the disclaimer screen every time you start the car.

I believe you need to do an intermediate upgrade, however. do some searching on this forum archive and it has been well documented.

That's the newest North American version. You should upgrade. Buy CD's from dealer. They are not expensive and they are better than home burned. You can go directly to 4610.
