Anyone running 17's as their winter setup? Tire Rack

says 17's will fit which would save a ton of money on tires but I have my doubts. Looking for real world experiences! Thanks.

I love the 235 55 R17 Michelin X-Ice tires I bought from Tire Rack. I'll be installing them for their sixth and probably final season. I bought the el cheapo $89 Chinese aluminium "sport edition" wheels from Tire Rack as well. They have been awesome. Never let me down. Run smooth as silk even on dry pavement.

Well that IS good news...Anyone else running 17's for winter?

I have run the 17" blizzaks with no problems. - The 17" is also better for the winter road conditions and pot holes as they are not so harsh.

We run a 16" pkg (from Tire Rack) on our A6 Avant. There are very few 16" wheels that will fit the car.

I would ask Gary, the AW-Tire Rack liason, what will fit the A8
