winter wheels

got a question for everyone lookin at wheels for my a8 over winter just wondering how small of alloys i can fit and any ideas as to tyres

For my '04 A8L, I bought the cheap five spoke 17" ones from Tire Rack.

Discount Tire: 17X7 Momo Winter 2 fit fine

If you go to the Tirerack site and enter your vehicle info. the site will guide you through choosing from many different possible combinations of wheels(diameter and style)and winter tires available for your vehicle.

I can tell you from personal experience that manufacturers are not supplying Tirerack with sufficient winter inventory this year and some sizes have NO winter option available. Good luck.

17" wheels

I put 17" polished wheels from a 1999 a8 onto my 2004 a8. They are forged so they are tough to bend in winter potholes and they dont look half bad. Picked up a set for 250 bucks on craigslist

cheers tries that website but its a us one and im form scotland was thinkin a cheap set of 16 or 17 for winter use as my 19s and mite with no marks at all

Any other Audi cars (or other vehicles for that matter) with similar offset and bolt pattern to the A8?? Getting a used set of alloys is a great way to put a full set of winters on the beast.

I'm thinking of buying cheap 17's or 18's from tirerack as well, but what about the TPMS? Is your light always on? What snows are you using? WS70?

Do all of you just use summer tires? I use my stock rims with all-seasons and they work perfect. On top of that I'm in Michigan.
