Default Aiming Halogen (H1) Headlights?

Ok, so I just replaced my low beams with new Silverstar's since they were starting to dim pretty significantly (they're probably about 5 years old anyway). Afterwards, I noticed that my passenger side light is aimed noticeably lower than the driver's side light. When I popped the back of the housing off to see if I left anything loose, I did notice that there is some "give" in the low beam socket. You can rock it up and down a bit if you try, and it is currently somehow resting in the aimed down position unless I put a little downward pressure on the housing to bring it back up in line with the driver's side light.

For a comparison, when sitting at a stop light, the driver's side light will shine basically right on the bumper ahead of me, whereas the passenger light will be aiming below the bumper - say the rear wheels/exhaust/mud flaps. I pulled up the eBahn manual, and it has two adjustment screws, but I'm wondering if that will help here or if something else is up. Thoughts?

Try the adjustment screws, it's easy to check.

It's possible one of them got stripped, though I don't know how similar the design of halogen headlight is compared to the hid one.

I will definitely give it a shot this weekend, but I wanted to see if I was missing something. I don't recall ever futsing with them before, so the screws should be ok.

So where exactly is the give? The entire headlight, or the light bulb socket?

If the vertical adjustment screw is stripped, I made a home-made gizmo so I didn't have to replace the headlight.

From what I can tell, it's the socket only. The housing itself seems just fine. The bulb fits snugly enough, but the whole globe-shaped piece the bulb fits in is what's misaligned.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I did realize that the passenger-side adjustment screws are gone altogether. So I either need to come up with a new set or jerry rig a gizmo like yours.
