My baby's been sullied :(
Took it to the dealer, and they put it up on the lift. I should've taken pictures, but apparently the "lower engine cover" did it's job. It was pretty beat up and torn ($480 for parts and labor to replace!) but it appears that all the vital pieces underneath were protected.
Everything seems to be fine, but should I ask them to check anything else out? I think that the engine doesn't sound quite the same, but I'm wondering if it's a mental thing. *Sigh* my first incident after only 2800 miles....
1- Exhaust system in case of any punctures
2- Inspecting when the car is parked if any leaks, I do this really regardless since I got the car in case something is not tight properly. Just visually inspecting after car is parked over night.
My winshield got hit with a rock same day I took delivery on my way home and I had to replace windshield after it cracked, it is painful but got it replaced and cost me $800.

Other than me being mental and thinking the engine sounds different, I think everything mechanically is fine. It was just a scary situation, I had just enough time to make the snap decision on whether to run over it with my wheels or try to go over the side. Considering te debris was dense and apparently heavy, I think if the wheels hit it going at freeway speeds, I'm out a wheel, tire, and who knows what body wok or alignment work.
On a side note, I also got a nail in my tire. Discount tire fixed it for free, and offers a warranty on all tires for 175. I've had great experiences with them; any time a tire is damage, if they can't fix it they'll swap it out without any hassle. Considering the 19" F1 goodyears I have run 314 each, it might give people here peace of mind and a cheaper alternative to the dealer's wheel/tire insurance.
Btw, the OP angrypenguin=me. Must've accidentally registered twice...
