headlight chime and alarm horn questions
just wondering if anyone has had the issue of alarm horn in trunk sounding quiet/ muted? and there is supposed to be a "lights left on warning buzzer/chime" i believe, but mine is silent, any ideas to check, maybe p.o. unhooked it ? any help greatly appreciated, Thanks
The alarm horn when locking is just a wimpy whine at best . They didnt give it a long enough signal high to activate it. so it just barely wimpers.
Mine makes sound when you trip the alarm tho,, and even often during the night when you dont
-> lights on warning buzzer works occasionally
-> same thing with turn signal sounds
-> seatbelt warning chime is not operating at all
--- prev. owner may have done mod on this but should there be a warning light on the cluster as well?
I've had the car only two weeks, so I have not learnt any pattern on these malfunctions. Please advise, if you have come across similar faults and if you've suggestions on mods/repairs.
Ps. What comes to headlights, up here (North EU) law states theirs (or DRL's) should be on all the time. Apparently lights can be coded continuously on even though there isn't "auto" position on light switch?

You want the A8 forum for your D3, this is C5.
When codes out, neither the seat belt chime nor the indicator light will be on. That's how it is on the C5.
