Transmission issue (we're not blinking!)
Well, it happened. A clunk, and then all of the gear selections were illuminated. Felt a loss, or a least a change, of power. After turning the car off and letting it sit for a while, the illumination was off, and the car ran as normal. That was Friday. No issues on Saturday. Sunday it did the same thing twice (once at highway speeds). The gear selections were not blinking (which I understand may be important in diagnosing this issue).
So, what am I looking at? Or what do I need to look for?

When that happened to me on my 02S6 it required a new transmission.
Get it checked out by a good transmission technician...IIRC BD recently had his replaced at FNA Transmissions in Wakefield MA for around $3K. Helluva good price.
