Convenience module: door lock/unlock, plus dome light issue
1. The car is from the US, I live in Canada. The windows did not roll down/roll up when using the remote control (press and hold), so I coded it to do so via VAG-COM. Also enabled automatic door lock when driving (at 15 mph or so).
2. New problem: the dome lights do not work after doors auto-lock during driving. If I open the door while driving, and close it, the dome lights will work again.
3. After doors auto-lock during driving, and I unlock them manually, then slow down to below 15 mph, then accelerate above 15 mph, the doors will autolock again.
I know something's wrong, could be due to coding, since my Canadian A6 does not exhibit such strange auto-lock behaviour.
not to mention my dome lights work fine at all times in the A6.
No error codes in VAG-COM, except I managed to get one 01570 (if I recall correctly), about Terminal 15 being intermittent. Researching this brought me to convenience module J429 (that's under the driver's side).
However, the car has no issues other than that. Fuse 14 is not blown. Lock/unlock works perfectly via remote control, as do the footwell lights and all in the interior lights when opening/closing doors.
Something I noticed today too, when attempting to resolve the problem, my door switch (lock/unlock) would not unlock the doors after pressing several times. Then it started working again.
1 Rear lid/tailgate unlocking
2 Anti-theft-system confirmation (via turn signals)
4 Selective centreal locking
8 Anti-theft system installed
16 Rear lid/tailgate locked above 5 km/h
32 auto-lock/unlock (at 15 km/h)
64 Comfort operation via remote control active
128 right-hand-drive vehicle
256 ? (VAG-COM doesn't list this value, though others say "avant")
512 locking confirmation via remote control active
1024 anti-theft system confirmation via siren
2048 door/window regulator logic
4096 unlockiing confirmation via remote control
8192 SAFE-function inactive
No suspect codes on vag-com either.
So my problem appears to be isolated to the rear latch, as soon as it autolocks, the reading/dome lights stop working.
Still wanting to find out why my doors keep auto locking even if I manually unlock them.
Is this the behavior others are having? If you unlock manually while driving (after autolock activates), then slow down to below 15mph, then accel, do the doors autolock again?
