New Member Audi 95 2.6e Cabriolet few questions
Hi Guys and gals,
I am from South Africa and purchased a Silver 95 Audi Cabriolet 2.6e with 133000km on it.
After browsing around on the forum I figured it will a must to join up.
Fuel level gauge did not work, took out sender out of the tank and saw the earth wire was rotten and broken off, replaced wire, soldered up and gauge works now.
My cruise control is not working, looked around and saw guys here say it is possibly the stalk on the steering that is oxidised on the contacts. Will check it out before asking questions.
The automatic transmission short shifts when in "drive", 1st gear shifts at 4200rpm, 2nd gear 4800rpm and then 3rd and 4th goes through to 6000rpm redline. Is this something that can be tuned? It revs straight through to 6000rpm when you select gears yourself.
The dash, parks and rear number plate lights stay on permanently (even with the ignition off), now the previous owner removed the fuse so there is no circuit but gets quite irritating at night, I cant see anything wrong on wiring, any ideas as to what it can be? Maybe also the light stalk?
Does anyone know where I can purchase a plastic RS2 bumper that will ship to South Africa? Also looking for the projector headlights, car has got one projector and 1 normal light in currently. Getting parts in South Africa is a no go!
Any help would be highly appreciated. This is my first Audi and it drives like a dream!
