Coolant flow pattern in 20V 1990?

I am about to back the car into the drive and drain the water I've been running for a week as I'm switching to the correct Audi coolant. I wanted to back flush the main radiator, and the heater core but I can't find a diagram showing which direction normal coolant flow is. I did this to the smaller front radiator and was surprised how much came out when I reversed direction. I have a new thermostat in, will not be taking it out (pain in the butt for access) and will be flushing with the engine stone cold. Then starting it and running it to temp with an actual NAPA flushing detergent in it, then letting it cool and flushing the cleaner out before finally filling it. So at the end of this I will likely be cold, wet and frustrated if past vehicles are any indicator.

So, any diagrams or descriptions of which direction the flow goes so I can do this as effectively as possible?
