95 A6 Door Locks, Alarm and Interior lights

As mentioned in title the above are not functioning. I know the door switch is working and windows work however when I turn off ignition the doors will not lock with the key nor the door lock button. Also the interior lights are not coming on in the door open mode. It was working last night and this morning I took the instrument cluster out to fix the gear selector indicator. Since then I haven't been able to get them to work. I took the cluster out again to check for missing connections but don't see any. There is however a harness which goes from the ignition switch over the column to an open plug. I have no idea if this is for any thing or just a service type plug.
