'06 S4 4.2; Alternator help -DIY
looking for threads on how to check and replace alternator. Newer battery, (replaced 2 weeks ago, original) typical symptom as the lights slowly dimmed until car died. (night driving). had car towed.
-will check belt & tensioner 1st (obvious)
-how to check tensioner or do I just replace if belt is bad? bad bearings?
-how to remove alternator without taking front end off?
-any DIY videos or links to workshop manuals
