A7 Owners need advice
Hi guys,
New here and I am looking at an 2012 A7 3.0T Premium Prestige w/Supercharged badging and 26k miles. It was sold by owner to a non audio dealership.
Please drop in your comments if you have a moment. I test drove it runs great however I do hear a knock sound in the engine, is that normal for the V6? Also when sitting inside at idle there is a noticeable soft vibration/shake you can feel. I expected more engine isolation from Audio but not sure if this normal. Is there anything maintenance wise I should be concerned with from this model year? Repair that should be inspected? Any feedback at all would be great. Lastly the factory warranty is probably going to expire by next year if my math is right, the Nissan dealer that is selling it said that I can purchase extended warranty coverage through Allstate. Anyone have any experience with that? Should I buy it and or is there any way to get an extended Audio warranty even though I'm buying it from a non Audi dealer?

Neither the knocking nor "soft vibration/shake" you describe are normal. As for extended warranty, plenty of threads on this - do a search, but I believe Fidelity is the one most people go with.
