emergency brake
Learned something the hard way last night. Don't use your emergency brake unless you are confident in its condition.. While putting on my summer wheels/tires, I pulled the brake, as I usually would do. Well, apparently it hasn't been serviced in a while, cause the passenger rear was stuck on.. Found out about that this morning on my way to work when an odd smell and smoke greeted me about a mile from the house. Luckily I was able to get it to release by using some penetrating oil and tapping the "flange" back into the off position. Not too difficult.. Anyway, just thought I'd share and hope it helps someone else.
