1995 A6 alarm remote not longer communicating with car
Hello all,
Last week the battery on my alarm remote died (1995 A6). I've replaced this battery many times over the life of the car without issue.
This time however I lost all coms with the car. Arm/disarm button non-responsive. Inserting the remote into the "override" slot below the steering column has no effect.
Any ideas on what could have happened and how to maybe fix it. Can't use the car as the alarm keeps going off and hazards flash every I open a door.

I have a manual with my 1992 that I briefly read through, it has a procedure for reconfiguring this issue. I'll attach pictures later today as I am at work !
