Default S3 Jacking Points

It does not look like it is easily possible to use a floor jack to lift both wheels (front or back) from one lift point.Anyone tried? The designated lift points at each wheel are quite small. Is it possible to use a floor jack with its wider lift surface without crunching sheet metal?

I've jacked up my S3 dozens of times for various reasons. The car is so rigid that if you jack up the car using the forward jack point, just behind the front wheel well, the rear will lift quite easily. I have a nice hydraulic floor jack with a round jack point; cup shaped. I place a rubber hockey puck into the jack point when lifting. Puck gives a tiny bit and helps protect the metal jack point in the car. If I get the front wheel/tire a few inches off the ground, the rear wheel is almost as high. I then just place jack stands under the car. Was just under the car this past weekend. Had the car up on 4 jack stands within about 10 minutes. Hope that helps.

@Fixer
Thanks, that's helpful. Where do you place the jack stands? At jacking points?

Very welcome. I usually place the rear jack stand on the rear jack points but place the front jack stands under sub frame components just in board of the front jack points. You'll see the cast metal sub-frame carrier about 8 to 10 inches in board of the front jack points. The rear doesn't have a frame assembly to place the jack stands under so the jacking points work best in the back. Hope that helps!

+1 on the hockey puck. I bought a stack of them off Amazon to use on my floor jacks. I also have rubber covers for my jack stands.
