2003 RS6 Fob button help

Hi All,

I have a new to me 2003 RS6... vehicle only came with 1 fob remote. The buttons did not work so i ended up swapping the battery to a new one but the fob buttons still do not work.

I found some guides that tell you to stick the key in the door/ignition while holding the unlock button but none of them worked.... I'm wondering if there is anything that can be done with VCDS?

Would appreciate some help

Thank you George, unfortnately I could not get it to work. I was able to log into the module and when i tried matching the fob nothing happened.... Does this mean my FOB is messed up?

A lot of the electronics on these cars are like the credit card terminals at the store. Sometimes they have to think for a few seconds before the action is processed. Many problems can self correct after a hard reboot (disconnect the battery for a while then hook it back up. It won't fix everything but does reset some failure codes. Make sure you research the problem first before taking action.
