I just picked up my Nardo Grey S5 Sportback and had a 3M Clear-Bra installed to protect the front of the car (I live in the PNW). I would also like to add a paint protectant coating to the car; the dealership offers a "Ceramic-Pro" treatment and my current car has a Xzilon paint protection. Given the color of the car, I'm curious for any recommendations of paint protection treatments. Any input is appreciated.
A lot of options in the market. I have CQuartz Pro on our other car. It was professionally applied. On the front 1/2 of the car its applied on top of Suntek PPF. Back 1/2 directly on paint. Car was driven right from delivery to the detail shop. When we replace the A7 later this year that also will have a coating applied
I'm really happy with it. Huge time saver for washing the car. And it seem like daily grime doesn't adhere to the paint the same way without a coating. Every 3-5 months I apply a spray-on sealant also from CarPro (makers of CQuartz) to help maintain the coating.
My only advice is to look for a good independent detailer in your area to do the work. Have a polish done on the car b/c any paint imperfections will be "locked-in" once the coating is on.
Yeah, I'd try to find a pro detailer in your area and see what they are working with. There are a number of very good choices today that'll last a couple of years or more.
Depending on how you already take care of your car... vs how long keep on keeping it vs your budget... do some google search on Feynlab self healing ceramic... it’s expensive but looks amazing and the minor scuff tests on YouTube are like whaaaaaaaaaaat

its all neat shtuff... love the technology.. I understand and respect the work it takes, but hard for me to justify spending $2500 quote I was given for the install of Feynlab heal+
