New to A6 Quattro
Sound off on what you would pay for this car in the description above?
I did my own clutch (2001 A6 2.7T 6MT) on jackstands in my driveway a couple of years ago. Total cost, $175 plus 20 hours of labor spread over six weeks. The bottom bolts on the bell housing will drive you to drink.
My only special tools are VCDS, cam locking bar, lots of triple square sockets and all the metric tools. And lots of patience for sealing valve cover gaskets!!!

That was an inspiring post and a good heads up on the cam locking bar (>$100 by itself!). Why are the valve cover gaskets such a problem? I'm not so familiar with these cars but it's trivial to create protrusions (drill and pin) to guide the fit on most engines without them, Where do I get a breakdown on the key differences of the "A" and "S" nomenclature and what changed in the C6 compared to the C5? Is the "C" designation short for chassis?
