Default Windows / Central Lock / Alarm / Interior lights problem

Hello everybody from Guatemala. I have been reading many threads on this blog regarding interior lightning problems caused by flooding which affect the Comfort Module under the driver's seat. My car flooded twice but I was fortunate to park my car (2005 A6 Allroad) in an upwards position and the Comfort Module doesn't have any moist or rusting signs when the drain under the battery got clogged and all the water ended going to the back seat. However the second time my car flooded it was because drains that go from the sunroof to the back of the car got clogged, and water was spilled on the amplifier and whatever there is in the back side panels of the car.

I noticed the problem when the car started showing condensation on the windows and the speakers of the car started making a loud noise when the car's doors where opened. The back of the car was completely wet, so I parked the car under a roof and on a level position so that it wouldn't keep getting rain (I still haven't found how to unclog the back drains). The car was left there undriven for about a week. A week later, I tried to start the car but the battery was dead. I bought a new battery and removed the amp, but I wasn't able to remove the entire side panels to see what else is housed there. Luckily, the battery didn't die again. The car stayed parked and untouched for two weeks, until I found a video about how to remove the side panels for an A4 and decided to try to remove the panels. When I pressed the remote control button, it would work some times and other times it wouldn't. Then the alarm started sounding and it wouldn't go off until about 10 minutes. I also noticed that the central lock button on the driver's side would work sometimes, sometimes it wouldn't. I finally left the car alone and unlocked so that the alarm wouldn't start sounding again at random times. The car has been parked for more than 10 months now, and I occasionally start it so that the battery doesn't die.

Then, one day about 6 months ago, when I went to start the car, the remote control didn't work at all, the central lock had ceased to work, the power windows didn't work and the interior lights didn't work either. I haven't found any information about what could be on the back of the car that could be causing these problems (Comfort Module is dry). The Fuse #14 isn't fried, and I have changed it twice just to make sure. Tonight after searching again on this forum for a clue, I read something about the interior motion sensor. I checked my car and the interior motion sensor button is always "ON". I pressed it many times to turn it off, but it didn't turn off. So I removed Fuse #14 and the motion sensor button went off.

I am really desperate as there are only three Audi Allroads in this country and I can't afford to take the car to the dealer, so I would greatly appreciate the help from this community with:

1) Can you point me to a video or a step by step instructions with pictures for removing the back side panels from a 2005 A6 Avant / Allroad. I ask the instructions with pictures because English is not my main language so it's sometimes difficult to understand the technical instructions without images.

2) Can you tell me what other electrical parts are there in the back side of the A6 Avant / Allroad that could cause these problems? Since I haven't been able to remove the panels, the only thing I was able to remove was the amplifier, but there are wires to other things there as well. Maybe the alarm or something that has to do with interior lightning / power windows?

3) What could be causing the interior motion sensor to not go ON / OFF when pressed? Could this be causing the whole problem?

4) Are these the symptoms of a faulty Relay #382?

5) I would greatly appreciate if someone can point me to instructions with images to unclog the back drains! It is now the rainy season in Guatemala and although the car has been parked under a roof for more than 10 months, it could be needed for an emergency and I don't want to drive it under the rain like this!

I'm sorry if these are too many questions, but I have tried to answer them by searching on the Internet without bothering anybody without luck, so I guess it's time to ask for your help.

I am attaching some pictures of my Comfort Module and the right back side of the car from where I removed the amplifier, but there's still a black Bose box which I am unable to remove because I can't remove the panels.

Comfort Module connectors. Everything is dry and no corrosion visible.

Comfort Module.

This is what can be seen behind the back right side panel. I was only able to remove the amplifier. Water was falling from the C pillar because the back drains are clogged. I dried as best as I could but the space is too little. What is that black Bose box there? What other electrical things are here that could be causing my problems?

Kind regards,

The best I can do is send the pages from the service manual which address the removal of the rear side trim and the additional removals needed to accomplish that.

Given the symptoms you have, I would recommend swapping out your CCM with a known good unit... Perhaps you could work out a deal with one of the other two allroads in the country...

Good luck,=

Hello Georgeb944, the instructions for removing the side panel would be great so I can finally check what else got wet there. Thank you!

Thanks a lot Georgeb944, I had seen your message from my mobile and I'm not sure if the attachments are visible there. But I can see them from my desktop
