Homelink will not program
Hi all, A4 newbie here. I just picked up a 2006 Avant and tried to program the Homelink for my garage door. I first cleared any old codes, at each attempt to program. Did the remote attempt at my front bumper, got the flashing lights to state it was programmed. Nothing. I then hit the LEARN button on my garage door opener, pressed the homelink button twice per my manual. Nothing. I even cleared all codes at my garage door opener, re-programmed by remote, and went to both steps again through the Homelink. Still nothing. Thoughts??

Depends on the model/age of garage door opener you have - the protocol for the garage door openers changed at some time around 2011 and you might need to put a compatibility bridge in. That's what I needed to do for the replacement Chamberlain garage door opener I bought a couple of years ago. Check the link above and the one for your garage door opener for more detailed info.

Did it work in step 1 and is unable to program rolling codes? If yes then try moving car closer. I have 2004 garage door openers and it gave me trouble programming with my 2017 A6. It worked on second attempt when I moved the car half way in. 2017 q7 was fine on first attempt.
