Default Headight Swap

Is it possible to swap from Xenon Projector types to the normal Halogen type headlights ? if yes, is there anything i have to worry about for example, wiring harness changes and will i need to update the vehicles software ?

C11,xxx?x: Headlights
C12,0 = Halogen Headlights w/o Daytime Running Lights (PR-8Q0/8Q1+8K0/8K7)
C13,1 = Halogen Headlights with Daytime Running Lights (PR-8Q0/8Q1+8K1/8K3/9C6/9C7)
C14,2 = Bi-Xenon Headlights with Daytime Running Lights (PR-8Q3/8Q5+8K9/8K4)
C15,3 = Bi-Xenon Headlights w/o Daytime Running Lights (PR-8Q3/8Q5+8K0/8K7)
C16,4 = Bi-Xenon Headlights with Daytime Running/Tail/License Plate Lights (PR-8Q3/8Q5+8K1/8K3)

Central Electronics module would need to be recoded, light assembly and harness would need to be changed as well. Question I would ask is why? - Bi-Xenon is significantly brighter than any halogen configuration but curious as to what you wish to achieve?

im gonna hijack this real quick, I have the same burning question in my mind. The reason I ask, is because I’m in high school. I’m broke, I don’t have afs in Canada. A ballast costs me $800 with labour. I can get a pair of halogens with projectors and retrofit then with leds. Same brightness without having to worry about a ballast corroding after 6 months

Don't know why ballasts would be corroding - I have a 2005 and a 2008 and neither has had to have ballasts replaced, but granted I live in Vancouver, BC not somewhere that has really severe winter conditions. If you do a search for ballast, there is a Chrysler replacement part that is apparently the same as the ones used by Audi and much much cheaper. $800 is very expensive, however I've never actually checked what the dealership price is for a replacement.

i live in Ontario it’s pretty snowy here too. The ballast is located under the headlight and it seems to let in a decent amount of water every time the car gets hit with water from the front like a car wash. So the ballast corrodes pretty quick which causes some electrical problems. I think Aldo the previous owner may have used offbranf parts as he changed the ballast 6 months ago
