Help with Audi A4 B7 2.0 TFSI accelerating noise?
Hey, new to the forum and also relatively new Audi driver here.
Bought this A4 (2.0 TFSI Quattro Tiptronic) with 176.000 km in June 2018 and I have 187.000km on the counter.
My problem is a ticking/rattling sound that I'm hearing when doing moderate to heavy accelerating. This sound only happens under load, so it's not there when idling. Usually it can be heard when accelerating on 2nd and 3rd gear.
The car has now seen these repairs within the last 20.000km or so: Timing belt, pcv-valve, diverter valve, spark plugs. NOT changed: timing chain, cam follower (I have new follower waiting in a box)
Here's a Youtube video illustrating the problem. The sound can be heard when speed increases to 60 km/h. Engine temp doesn't make any difference.
Any ideas?

Check the exhaust system - maybe the hangers have stretched/moved such that the exhaust vibrates against something at those particular revs; look at the exhaust at the front where it's close to the gearbox and at the rear where it's close to the boot well. I think there are also heat shields between the exhaust and engine - confirm if any of them are loose as well.
