Genius/idiotic idea for immo "delete"???
I bought this car (2005.5 2.0t A4) with one key and having done about 10,000 hours of research, I have come to the conclusion that despite having access to VAG-COM and RFID programming tools, and blank RFID ID48s, there is no simple/cheap way to program the immo RFID (the rice-sized ID48).
I now have a cut key in an eBay fob, and it opens the door, and will in fact start the car for like 3 seconds before the immo kills it.
MY IDEA: I want to pop out the tiny RFID rice grain thingie in my original working key and Gorilla Tape it right next to the ignition tumbler (needs to be close to the tumbler to be read properly). This way, any key that turns the tumbler successfully will be "accepted" by the immo.
I wondering if there is some reason NOT to do this (other than making the car easier to steal) - has anyone done this, or heard of it being done?
I call it the "5 minute immo delete"!

I'm 100x more concerned about losing a key or needed to give one to a family member or somebody in an emergency.
