Interior light remains on when car unlocked.

Hi all.

I have a A4 convertible (B7) and the interior light remains on until I lock the vehicle. The dashboard computer says the doors boot and bonnet are shut however the interior light remains on! I have tried the sequence to reset the lights by the locking unlocking opening doors in the right turn but no joy!! Need help as this is really bugging my OCD!

Just to recap, interior light turns off in locking the vehicle but turns on and stays in when opening the vehicle. Nothing switches it off until locking the car via the key fob.

Hi,

Usually interior lightings button is located overhead beside sunroof control button. It has three operations

1) Keep lights off always
2) Keep lights on always
3) Keep lights on upon door open.

I believe your setting is on number 2. Try to switch it back to 1 to keep lights off always.

I am sure it works.
