Obtaining a spare key or keyfob
hello all:
apologies if this has already been covered ad-nauseam...
just bought a 2007 a4 wagon which only came with one key (looks like a valet key, not a remote keyfob). other keys were apparently lost by previous owner.
i've done some preliminary investigation into this; is paying the dealership my only choice? any cheaper options?

I have the same exact question. I just acquired my B7 as well and the previous owners only had one key (it's a master/keyfob) and I also don't have the key tag with code number. Same question as @aquaminerale as I think I'd like to have another master key or at least valet spare.

Dealer (to get SKC) needs to be involved with new keys for the B7 family because of the immobiliser coding required. Thought I had read somewhere that some North American 3rd parties might be able to help with the SKC as well but not certain about that.
