Diesel Engine Swap? What is under my hood?
So my car took forever to start this morning.
Crank crank crank.... Crank crank crank....
During one of the cranks I saw the oil light come on. I stopped cranking and the light went off and didn't come on again. I checked my oil level and everything was fine.
What did I forget to warm up the glow plugs?
I tried it again and it eventually started. It ran a little rough for a few seconds and then sounded like a diesel. Possibly it could be the cam chain tensioner but I am not sure? Any other thoughts? Could it be a stuck lifter? Did my oil pump die?
My car sat out in the heavy rain yesterday but after the rain stopped I started it up and pulled it into the garage to change my busted driver side door latch. It sat in there all night.
At that point I was already late for work to I took my gf's car.
About 6 months back I had a similar problem starting my car but I don't think I had that diesel type noise. Shortly after that I had to replace my coolant temp sensor and ICM. Things have been more
