Q7 Radio Control Module Issue
I got a good deal on it from a dealer who didn't want to pay Audi to fix the the radio and a few other issues, yes the dealer disclosed all the issues. So I bought it as is. I have the maintenance records that an Audi dealership fixed the sunroof drain holes which lead to water damage to the amp. They installed a used AMP and took it to Audi for coding. MMI appears to be completely functional, the only two symptoms were no sound and the radio won't tune. Navigation, CD changer, and all MMI menus work fine. The only code that was putting our as follows.

After getting into the garage and pulling panels. Checked all the fuses no issue there. Pulled connections on Radio module and amp. Firmly re-fitted connections, I believe it's possible that one of them was unplugged on the Radio module. Cleared the codes. Suddenly everything worked fine to include all of these speakers so I don't think the component protection is an issue, at least according to my understanding of component protection. The only issue at this point is the radio will not tune. I'm wondering if the dealership put a used radio control module from a different model or year that didn't work quite the same as my Q7's.
My second thought is Maybe it has a bad ground in the control module, or a slight amount of water damage since it is located under the amp or the wiring going out to the speakers is causing it to go in and out.
My primary questions for the community: .
What is your long code numbers for the Radio control unit?
Those of you who have a Q7 with similar options what is your radio control model number to include the letter designator following the number? The radio module currently installed is 4G035082G. The Audi parts site says I need to have 4F0035053BX. The only ones available on Ebay are $300 to $400 and ship from Lithuania.
What other radio control unit model numbers can I use?
The alternative, of course, is to install a Carplay kit and just stream whatever you want through the Aux input Carplay uses.
