Default Q7 2015 - Limp mode :( CONSISTENTLY

Hey Guys,

Im in need of some Audi brains and experience here... My 2015 keeps going into limp mode (glow plug light on the dash and random engine light some times appears ) when its either driven hard or under load...

I took the car to a mates garage and scanned it with his SnapOn machine and it states low fuel pressure on bank1.

I thought it may be a dodgy fuel sensor on the rail so i replaced that and the same error code appears. i now get the P008700 code

Next i replaced the fuel filter as their was some very dirty fuel that come out of it!! see pic below

I have done multiple DPF burns and the issue is still occurring I am completely out of options and dont know what else to do...

Ive searched the forum and i dont see any other threads that show some of my issues.. Also with the engine started up and the oil cap off it chugs like thomas the tank engine !!!! video below

Cheers guys

Here's a link to prior thread on topic: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-...o-low-2994162/

Note that the P code is really nonspecific, and you need to use a proper scan tool to deep dive into the injector pressures, and HPFP output, etc., so you you can really tell what is going on. VCDS is the gold standard in diagnostic tools for DIYers and shops alike on these cars. You are unlikely to get very far with this issue w/o the ability to scan the internal sensors on car, and to see what other trouble codes may exist that a generic OBD2 type scantool won't be able to show you. These require a VAG-compatible scantool...that's Volkswagen Auto Group, and these cars don't play nice with OBD2...lotsa secrets in there they won't show to a standard scantool.

FYI, FWIW, I filled up my TDI at name-brand, high volume (RACE TRACK) fuel station the other day before realizing there was a half-hidden sticker showing it was mixed with 5% biodiesel at this chain...I don't buy fuel there normally, but it's top-tier rated, so I figured what harm could it do, right? Next day on cold start, my prior perfectly running TDI was now stuttering and bucking and wouldn't settle into a normal 'cold idle'...D@mn biodiesel seems to have settled to bottom of the tanks and my TDI was none too happy about that. I ended up dumping in not only a fuel additive to bring up the Cetane value, but also a diesel fuel conditioner product, which cleans the tank and breaks up any nastiness inside the diesel fuel system, as well as controlling/dispersing any water in the fuel, etc. I just dropped that in at night, w/o running car, and next day it started up fine and runs perfectly again.

Won't be buying diesel fuel from Race Track again, and will keep an eye out for biodiesel blend stickers at other stations in the future. So far I've seen biodiesel blend disclosure stickers at Race Track and Sunoco here in the states (USA). I do recall reading an older thread related to this engine...3.0L TDI, not being compatible with biodiesel.

Beware of LOVES stations too. Their pumps are labeled B15. 15 % biodiesel is not a good idea at all for our TDIs.

I always try to find a Chevron or Shell station...and when I can't....I get very stressed out. I've heard others say that most all stations now carry "top tier fuel" but unless I see the sticker on the pump stating this, I won't buy it. The other day I absolutely had not choice but to get fuel from a questionable source, so I only put in a few gallons along with a dose of Everyday Diesel additive. As soon as I found a Chevron station I filled it up with the good stuff.
