Constant limp mode when towing
So I took the camper up to the Southern SIerra Wilderness over the holiday weekend and almost every time I'm just cruising along the highway on a slight incline with my foot on the pedal to keep it at around 60-65 MPH she goes into limp mode. In the past I would pull over to restart the vehicle so the glow plug light would turn off but I learned on this trip that you can actually restart the vehicle while in neutral and maintain some highway speeds. After the 2nd or 3rd highway restart a check engine light comes on and it doesn't seem to go back into limp mode. CEL stays on until the engine is cooled then it stays off. Same thing happened on the way home as well.
Any idea what's causing all this limp mode? And is it covered under the extended warranty? I believe my vehicle goes out of warranty this October.
I ran a scan after I got home with the CEL on and a whole bunch of crap popped up.

Based on the engine DTC’s my first suspect would be a small intake boost leak. While it is normal for specified and actual to be slightly different instantaneous values, the DTC’s trapped this data which suggests the actual pressure is too far below the specified pressure for too long hence limp mode. If there is an intake boost leak then the turbocharger is working harder attempting to achieve specified boost which can shorten the turbocharger lifespan if left unrepaired for a long time.
From your engine DTC:
Charge air pressure: specified value: 2551 hPa
Actual charge pressure: 2230 hPa
You can ask your warranty service provider to confirm if this is covered. I would suggest do not clear any DTC’s so the warranty provider can see them. Some DTC’s take several engine starts or in your case the added load of the camper to appear and warranty will not cover cleared codes they cannot see.
