Went to open the hood on my 03' Audi A8 D3 and the hood didn't open.
On the passenger side of the car the hood unlatched but on the drivers side its sealed shut.
I've already read into this problem a bit but it seems my case is different because the black box which connects to the two hood release cables is fine and I can actually feel the two cables at the end of the box. I can also feel the cable move when pulling the release from inside the car so I have no idea why it won't open.
If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know.

Have you tried having someone sit on the hood (above the latch that won't release) while you pull the hood release lever in the car? Maybe taking the tension off will allow the hook to unlatch.
Hopefully you've searched the D3 board here; there have been many others who had the same problem (although it's usually the black box you've pictured above).

Please help D3 A8 hood won't open
