Default Car reverse jumped, full of electrical gremlins now

Cause: I reversed the polarity when jumping start the car (Yes, that was more than stupid and I’ve been kicking myself ever time I need the AC ), it was wired for a good few seconds before I realized something was wrong.
Things that had gone wrong:

#1 turn indicator noise is gone, it works but without the ticking sound.
#2 front door open indicator is reversed. When passenger side door is open, driver side door open indicator comes up, and it works vice versa for the driver side.
#3 Stereo head unit was shot but was fixed after replacing the fuse behind it.
#4 Now the real deal, The AC works only at the beginning of each drive for a less than 10 mins and the fan stops blowing while the climate control panel is still lit, but any input on the panel has no effect on the system, side note, even when it’s working, the front outer two vents by the driver and passenger door will not blow air.

Fixes tried:
Replacing climate control panel with a used one bought off eBay, it appears that it needs to be programmed but I haven’t bothered since it doesn’t seem to solve the issue. Even though all other functions will not work util the panel is programmed, the defroster does work (Audi probably left it as it’s a safety feature?), the system still shuts off after like 10 mins just like the original one.

New blower motor tested with same result. Have had a couple of mechanics worked on it and could not figure it out. It’s a 2011 and I am afraid to take it to the dealer for the potential costs. I could live with other issues, but climate control problem caused safety issues during the winter as it’d frog up the windshield. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated!

A crying idiot

Can you post diagnostic scan results? There is likely a ton of DTC’s present so you may want to save a copy and clear them all, then perform a few drive cycles, then scan again to see current active codes.

I have done it multiple times and codes keep coming back. Attached is what I got from one of the mechanics, I do have my own scanner and I remember seeing different codes, I can run it again if needed. Appreciate the suggestion anyway.

Always best to start by looking up recurring DTC’s on a trusted site like Ross Tech for more information. It is not clear which module is producing these codes from your scan picture. Unless there is a fuse issue then sounds like at least one control module might be damaged. Your P02071 DTC specifically says Short To Ground but the generic DTC on Ross Tech says No Signal / Communication so there is potentially a difference in detail of this DTC to be investigated further. A full VCDS scan would be ideal as it will list all details under all modules.

That’s a solid direction to look into but definitely getting out of my comfort zone. I was hoping it’s down to some module I can simply replace and I don’t mind sourcing them and give it a try as they should be pretty inexpensive at this point. For what I can tell it’s likely related to something that controls the distribution of the air. Is there any module you can think of other than the climate control panel and blower motor.

One word of caution regarding swapping out modules as Component Protection is likely present. Simply replacing a module with like module is no longer simple as Component Protection would likely become an issue. As long as your prepared to resolve CP DTC(s) then your good to proceed.

I would like to see a full VCDS or perhaps OBD11 scan before offering more suggestions to resolve. We may not be seeing the full scope of DTC’s from your current scan screen shot. I’m sure others can chime in with further insights as well.

Valid point for sure. For now, hope we can narrow it down to certain modules and then we can go from there. Just ran it with this BlueDriver I have. I don't know if the result is helpful but please see the pictures

It is apparent Address 08: Auto HVAC Control Module has an issue. Simplest item to check first is the fuse. After that try talking to it with something like VCDS to see if it actually communicates or if it continues to be unavailable. Ideally you have an old VCDS or similar scan data that contains HVAC Controller Part Number and the Soft Coding so that it can be transferred to an identical replacement module if required, but again if replacing modules then you are likely going to run into CP which will also need to be resolved afterwards.

As a separate issue I would address the Fuel Injector DTC.
