Default help with electrical gremlins alarm goes off for now reason and can't lock without arming the alarm!

Over the past two weeks, my alarm started going off randomly when I leave the car locked. Sometimes it turns itself off after a couple of minutes before I can get to it, and sometimes I have to go turn it off... Other times, I find it with the lights flashing like the alarm is going off but without the noise. A little while after the alarm problem started, the car stopped making the beep noise when I lock it using the remote.

I have tried to lock the car using the button on the inside, so I can lock it without turning the alarm on, but the lock button will not lock the car when the car is off. (Works when car is on though...)

On another topic, my air bag warning light just came on as well, just before the alarm problem started...

I am a few months out of warranty and now very disapointed with my TT

Anyone have any ideas about what is going on?

Thanks!

Is the motion sensor off when the light on the button is lit or dark?

Any idea why this would suddenly become a problem with no changes?

Default The interior motion sensor can be made less sensitive by your dealer

... or anyone with Vag-Com tool. It has duty cycle setting between 50-100. Default is 100, and lower is less sensitive.
