2.0T Engine Problems

My 2015 Audi Q5 2.0 T Premium Plus has 84,000 miles and has a major engine problem. The engine cylinder #2 has no compression. No one in my area works on Audi engines. Except for this engine problem the car is in very good condition. How much does it cost to repair/rebuild the engine? Is it worth fixing or should I just get rid of it? Any advice would be appreciated.

I am not certain but based on some other posts, it's probably 10-12k for a new engine and unlikely to get anyone to do a tear down and repair of your existing engine.

Where are you located? In this day, given the continual repair Audis require, it would be a very isolated place without an indy Audi shop.

I would want to know what is causing zero compression in cyl 2 before making a decision which way to go. A proper bore scope inspection will show if the cylinder walls are scored from things like a stuck open injector, damaged rings, etc, or if a valve is stuck open, bent, or burnt.

If the cylinder walls are badly scored then the engine block is a write off.

If there is a valve issue then the cyl head can be removed / rebuilt / replaced.
