A8 d3 secondary air injection.

2005 A8L withe the above problem. The blower was bad so I replaced it and no change. Terrible misfires when cold started and smooths out after 1-2 minutes. When I clear the related codes it’s good for a couple of days then right back at it. I’ve seen a few posts on this but none specific enough to really test it out. I’m asking for help please. I have a vag com but I’m an amateur. Can anyone walk me through or send me a link that shows what module to go into and how to try to cycle the blower? Where is the fuse, relay etc so I can fix this?

At least give us the full VCDS scan output or specific codes you got that indicates the SAI system has a problem.

Misfires don't sound like SAI to me. As stated, need a general scan, or at least of engine (module 1). If misfiring, more likely a fuel or ignition issue. SAI is just pumping air into the exhaust after combustion chamber when cold.
