2006 Audi A8 Light sensor on the dash is bad help!
Hello guys I have a 2006 Audi A8, when I turn on the automatic headlight option it says sensor failure turn lights on manually. I went to Ebay and ordered a new sensor and installed it and it still is saying the same thing. Does anybody have any experience with this issue and I had it resolved? If so, please be my guardian angel and lead me to the light! thanks

The light sensor for the auto headlights is not on the dash. It’s combined with the rain sensor up against the inside of the windshield behind the rearview mirror.
The sensor on the dash top is a sunlight intensity sensor for the HVAC system.
