CarPlay Module
MMI 3G has no comprehension of Carplay. The only way to have Carplay is to insert an aftermarket device between MMI 3G and the screen (be it the factory screen or an aftermarket touch solution) that your phone talks "Carplay" to. That aftermarket device is nearly always going to be some Android device running a Carplay emulation app.
The most common is RSNAV, which is nice since it replaces the factory screen with a higher resolution touch screen. Can either be a factory look smaller screen, or a larger tack-on tablet look. www.rsnav.com There's plenty of screen replacement and hideaway box (where you retain the factory screen, so low res and no touch) options out there.
