MMI lights blink on hard rev
After a short drive in the cold, I decided to floor the gas pedal quickly (engine rev) to expell any water in the exhaust system. I noticed at idol, sometimes a rev would cause the MMI lights (center console) and door lights to blink off and on. This did not happen if the RPMs had not settled down to idle yet.
It also doesn't happen every day I try this.
Any ideas on what could be happening?
Typical problems/ faults on these Q7s are grounding cable internal failures (high resistance inside) leading to voltage losses, parasitic battery drains from specific grounded components, alternator and/or voltage regulator failures related to fluid leaks, and Battery charging/management system (BEM) not being reset properly during a battery swap. Scan your car to get a current baseline of what problems your car is able to tell you about directly.
