The BEM system (battery monitoring/ regulation) is located in Channel 19, The Gateway.

Hopefully you got it at auction for less than cheap.

Good news is there are plenty of used parts from parts recyclers available online, and the downside is if you have to buy any replacement control modules they will often require security coding, which requires a dealership visit/labor charge or finding an independent repair shop that has the ODIS system required for the security coding, etc.

You just need to establish your priority of work, as I see a lot of codes that are bad bulbs, bad/grounded switches, sensors-related, etc.

If you really want input from this forum, then you'll need to provide some full disclosure about your 'auction Q7', starting with year model, mileage, engine, if the engine starts/runs, etc., etc. and any salient details like...it sat outside with all the windows open, it smells like mildew inside, or there was a foot of water inside the tire well in the cargo area, etc. You know...details on what is obviously not working/needs attention...not just fault codes compilations.

the car runs and drives perfectly. 3.0 tfsi premium plus from 2013, 185k miles, bought 2k.
It was a dead car for 1 year. There is no water flow from any part. The 12v voltage is on the mmi lcd , on control board, on the audio amplifier, on the radio, and on any central unit, so no fuse or ground problem. I experienced on two Porsche Cayenne and a Touareg with water problems and this q7 doesnt have water or corrosion. I also terdown the bose amplifier to see inside if has some water traces, nothing.

Im looking and trying everything what i read on web about single control module to test searching for same errors.

So far as the 4L Q7 platform goes, there are a number of known issues related to water leaks occurring or the HVAC or windshield plenum water drains backing up with debris and causing a flood to occur and/or taking out control modules. Offhand I'd guess that the control modules you have that are not visible/communicating are either water damaged or simply 'missing'. This Q7 has a lot of miles on it, and there are specific parts that fail on the Q7, like the mirror control and function selector switch on driver's door, the headlights multi-function switch, the rear gate latch and/or mechanized closing mechanism, various sensors all around the car, commonly used switches and relays, etc.

Based on the issues related to the driver's door, it seems rather likely that door panel has been off and that the wiring leads from mirror and others may not have gotten reconnected to the door panel switches/controls again, etc.

Headlamps showing grounded status has come up on here prior...search the internet based on exact fault codes, etc. Also check the headlight lenses for any holes/cracks or moisture intrusion signs. The electronic HID ballasts are mounted underneath on each housing (the headlight housings slide straight out front of car after releasing couple clips and the wiring harness, etc.) More than likely the ground fault problem is at the housing, but also look for any signs of rodent/wiring damage by tracing the harness from headlamps back up a ways. Rodent poop or pee trails/deposits are a big clue in that regard. IIRC, one of the threads related to grounded headlamps message ended up being due to rodent damage to the wiring harness itself...not the headlamp housings at all.

If the car sat a long time, I'd suspect rodent damage to wiring, which could also explain why several control modules appear to be 'missing', etc., or their is intermittent communications messages.

Absolutely your best resource is going to be the internet search engine, as it will find related forum threads and videos for you. That's how I find things myself; I search the internet for specific error/fault codes and or symptoms I'm seeing on my Q7, etc.

it could be a communication problem of the 6f 4l0910290a control unit, tomorrow I'll open that 6f control unit and see.

and as for the mmi, is there a broken ring? in the photo cd changer r41 -not installed(its the radio?).

the headlight doesnt have a fuse on 2013. Are directly from body control unit. I also opened the headlight, are ok.
and the car doesn’t open remotely, i have to insert the key, responsable i think the body control module.
those modules(body or comfort 2 on the trunk), if I disconnect, other light on trunk goes off, so partially malfunction.

im located in Queens, how much would cost to reprogram that 6f module, someone from here?

About the mmi, i ordered a used unit 5F for 40bucks.

about the bixenon, the central unit 09 under dash, its ok, on the 09 unit i turned on the light testing it, and power goes to hid xenon unit under headlight, and make noise. So i ordere two new hid units 20 each 8K0941597

About the two rear comfort module there are no signs of water, I opened them and looked at the motherboard. 4L0907289 And 4L0907290,
also the 4L0907290( central comfort 2) have communication problem (sometime i can read)
i cant code it, and also shows no information about Code number, but the module do their work. Possible a can problem?

I sends multiple offer to buy a 5F for max 50 bucks including shipping, one was 125, and accepted to sell for 40 inc shipp.

so it comes today and installed and all works, it have component protection, i will update when i remove it.

i also tried to swap all parts and try to fix the old one, but nothing. The unit also can work without the cd player, without radio module, and also without the screen lcd. So its the motherboard.

i bought 2x hid xenon unit for 25$ inc shipp.

The next week i want to put 34" tire, and lift it 3".
