Accidentally pulled out axle from front differential.
hoping for some advise.
I was changing the front, left outher cv joint today, tried to pull it off without removing the whole cv axle.
Lost my grip of the axle while tapping the outher cv joint and the whole hub where the inner cv is bolted came loose (pulled out the axle from the differential) no oil came out and it slid back in nicely.
have tried find a diagram of how this is assembled in the differential without luck.
Have i possibly ruined anything by doing this or should it be ok?
edit : From what I can see on part diagrams the filler seems to be lower than the axle tube so at least the oil should not be an issue 😅
thanks in advance for answers!

The inner axle has a circlip that holds it in the differential splines...that's the important bit to pay attention to. If you did it right, then the axle should feel 'locked in' when you just pull on it by hand. The tapping action you did was enough to compress the circlip and allow it to disengage, etc. If it pulls out easily, then locate the metal circlip/locking piece and reposition it correctly, etc.
Then I think I’m good! Thank you. It had some slight resistance going in and felt well seated once in place. I’ll give it another good tuck at reassembly to make sure.
thanks 😊
