Supplemental heater fan won’t shut off
I’ve got an issue where the supplemental heater won’t shut off (technically just the fan). I have to pull the fuse to shut it off. I haven’t connected vcds yet but I am getting code 01207 - Control module for auxiliary heater: No signal/ communication from Carista
I have read that water intrusion to the control module is relatively common and also that changing the heater is a bit of a pain especially if component protection is enabled. Looking on eBay it looks like I can get a used one for a few hundred so the part cost isn’t too bad.
I really like the heater but may decide to live with it as is and just stick the fuse in when I need it or even rig up a toggle switch (assuming the heater still fires up it has been too warm for it to come on).
Anyone have experience with this issue? Thanks!

Could just be a bad relay perhaps...a failed/stuck relay? You'd need to look at the electricals, but personally I'd be looking for common electrical failure points that meet your symptom set before thinking it's the control module for the Auxiliary diesel heater unit at fault. Maybe it is, or maybe it's a $5 USD relay or the rheostat is all you need. 
Low-hanging-fruit always costs you a LOT LESS than a control module, and generally needs no security programming either...
