I have a tunezilla stage 2 and a egr deleat tune , it is to shut off egr at 60 deg. So my question is does the eng still do a regen? I love this tdi car more than my wifes 2025 Q with 900 mi I think it is a nicer fun car to drive than a brand new one.

If your EGR 'performance tune' shuts off the EGR flow at 60C, it's not a delete, but rather their optional EGR tune, which utilizes EGR as normal during warm-up on cold engine, then shuts it off completely after a preset temp is achieved, and it stays off, etc., limiting the amount of soot recycled through the intake, but still keeping the primary intent/benefit of the EGR...to warm up the engine more quickly; diesels aren't happy when they are cold.

I also prefer driving my '10 TDI to the revised 4M chassis gassers, both for how mine drives/feels over the road, and for the TDI motor, which is an absolute beast on Malone/Tunezilla Stage 2, not that it slouched from the factory.

It's a lot of fun! I was always ready to turn in my loaner Q7s during the TDI warranty and get back my 4L Q7. The 4M chassis just felt like a toy in comparison.
