Can't seem to get my timing retard logs to work. I've STFA and have the VAG-COM label file for the
AEB engine. The archives suggest Group 020 and the label file suggests groups 013,014,015. None of them give me a reading. I just get zeros, 1s or NAs. Group 020 just gives AC information and not timing at all so I guess codes are engine specific.
Any ideas? The logging works for most everything else. I get block 032 fuel trims, MAF reading etc.
Called VAG-COM and they just say to follow the label file.

That's what I thought too but my block 020 gives speed, selector lever, AC Mode and AC status.
That's exactly what the VAGCOM label file for the AEB says it should be. When I talked to VAGCOM they said every engine was different. That certainly wasn't the impression I got following the posts here.

what about the actual data spit out to the log, are they numbers between 0 and 15?
I get the same erroneous column headings as you, but the actual values and units are correct.
